About Me

I have been married to my extremely supportive husband for 10 years and we have 3 wonderful children. Two of my children are currently homeschooled and one is a young adult in trade school. As a family we love to go camping, check out new restaurants, hike, watch movies and play cards. Really, we just love doing things together and with our friends and families.

As far as me personally, I love baking and cooking, crafting, reading, gardening, exercising and just generally being outdoors. I love homeschooling my younger children and learning alongside with them and I am really enjoying watching my eldest child grow into such an amazing adult and experiencing new things in life. Being a mother and wife brings me so much joy and the Lord has truly blessed me beyond measure.  

How Anchored Began

When I first felt led to homeschool two years ago, I never imagined that God would eventually call me to start a school. Homeschooling wasn’t even on my radar until shortly before I began, and almost immediately after I started my own personal homeschool journey, I knew that He had something larger in store for me. Even though I wasn't ready to accept the task. 

During the past 2 years, I got involved in several homeschool programs, met incredible families, and quickly realized that so many were facing the same challenges I was. They were searching for Christ-centered programs, reliable support, meaningful community, and help in areas where they couldn’t do it all on their own. Many were trying their best, but still not experiencing the joy they had hoped for in their homeschool journey.

Almost immediately, God began working on my heart. He opened doors, placed the right people in my path, and taught me lessons I never expected to learn. Over the past two years, He’s given me a vision that has grown into what is now Anchored Christian Academy.

Anchored is more than a program, it’s a calling. And it has come to life through God’s grace, the encouragement of my family and friends, and the support of the beautiful homeschool community around me. It has truly been a labor of love.

I’m so excited to begin this next chapter, and I can’t wait to walk this journey with you.
